Fighter Practice
The Shire of Cloondara hosts regular fighter practices in San Francisco's beautiful Golden Gate Park. Fighter practices are held on Sunday afternoons at 47th Ave just off Fulton Street (next to the Archery Field). These are teaching practices and members of the public are welcome to attend. Our fighters are always happy to answer questions and explain the use of armor and weapons to visitors.
We encourage aspiring fighters. If you'd like to participate in one of our practices, loaner gear and instruction are available. You will need to sign a waiver and agree to abide by our safety rules. We also require that you have appropriate groin protection before you can actually fight. You can find our safety rules at here or contact the appropriate Marshal for the practice you'd like to attend.
Practices may be canceled if the majority of the fighters are attending an event. Please check with one of the Marshals to see whether we will be having practice or not. Practice usually runs for about two hours.
Archery Practice

Archery Practice begins at 12 Noon at the Golden Gate Park Archery Range. The practice is designed to build basic skills in archery and newcomers are always welcome. Loaner equipment is available.

Fencing Practice
Fencing Practices are held at 1PM. This practice is to promote period rapier fighting techniques.
We have loaner gear! Youths age 10 and up are welcome to participate, with parent's written permission.

Heavy Fighter Practice
Heavy Fighter Practices are held at 2PM. Fighters practice with various styles and weapons and the atmosphere is particularly encouraging for new fighters. Veteran fighters will also find sufficient challenges to make the practice interesting and are encouraged to share their skills with others.
Teens 16 years and older can participate in practices with a waiver signed by their parent or guardian after certain safety requirements are met. Children under 16 years old cannot participate in practice but are welcome as spectators.
