Gold Key is the term used for garb and equipment loaned to newcomers or members of the public attending our events. Our current stock consists of donated garb in odd sizes and we are hoping to bring a bit of standardization by sewing a few all purpose T-tunics.
The Shire will provided the material, reference books, and, hopefully, some resident experts but we need sewing machines and willing hands to help with cutting, pinning, sewing, etc. This is a great way to learn by doing and to help the Shire at the same time!
The site is St. James Episcopal Church at 4620 California St. between 8th and 9th Avenues. The workshop will be held in the undercroft, the area under the church. As you enter the garden, look for the small door to the right of the main church entrance. Parking is street parking and can be difficult. There is a passenger zone in front of the church for unloading. The site opens at 8 AM and th¢e workshop will get started at 9 AM. The site closes at 6 PM.
